Project and Role: Freelance Designer/Production ManagerĀ for Romon.U.Park Parade Floats and Carts
Objective: Undertake a multimillion-dollar project to design and build over 50 parade floats and 40 carts for Romon.U.Park, bringing to life the rough sketches provided by an Italian artist.
Role and Responsibilities: As the freelance artist in charge, I handled the entire process from initial design adaptation, 3D modeling, to overseeing the production phase, ensuring the final products aligned with the conceptual visions.
Strategy and Concept: Translated artistic sketches into tangible, vibrant parade floats and carts, ensuring each piece captured the spirit and imagination required for high-impact parade displays.
Creative Process: Led the design and modeling of the parade elements, adapting intricate artistic concepts into practical, manufacturable designs while maintaining the original vision and aesthetic appeal.
Execution: Collaborated closely with manufacturers in Wuxi, China, to bring the designs to life, overseeing the production process to ensure quality and fidelity to the initial designs.
Outcome and Results: Successfully delivered a large-scale project resulting in over 90 parade floats and carts that continue to captivate audiences and enhance the park's reputation, as evidenced by their prominent feature in social media posts and PR materials.
Personal Reflection and Learning: This project significantly advanced my capabilities in large-scale project management, design translation, and international collaboration, reinforcing my skills in turning conceptual art into real-world attractions.
